Welcome! It gives me immense pleasure to convey my heartiest congratulations to the Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune Bioethics Unit of the International Chair in Bioethics on the occasion of World Bioethics Day 2022. This unit has been created to spread awareness about medical ethics and bioethics in the field of health sciences education.

The lack of proper teaching of ethics in medical schools is one of the reasons for the deterioration in the relationship between doctors and patients. An understanding of the basic concepts of an ethical healthcare practice needs to be inculcated throughout the health sciences curriculum and across all disciplines and years of the students' professional development.

Here at Dr. D Y Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune, we hone the competencies of the students, inculcate and foster life-long learning skills during their professional education.
