Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth was one of the pioneering units to join the Indian Programme of the UNESCO Chair in Broethies way back in 2015. Recently it has also been re-established with the International Chair in Bioethics this year. I am indeed very happy to place on record that this prestigious institutional Unit of International Chair in Bioethics and its Students' Wing has been doing a commendable job in instilling the values and training in bioethics in future healthcare professionals.

Dr. D Y Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune believes in this philosophy and has taken steps forward in that direction to provide quality education for holistic development of the student, which is why I am grateful for the re-establishment of the Bioethics unit.

Every year students and faculty of all the colleges in the Vidyapeeth come together to implement new concepts of bioethics as we commemorate World Bioethics Day.I am overwhelmed to see the combined effort of both students and faculty work together for such a righteous cause.

I am proud to note that through our vibrant student-staff interface, we have garnered various recognitions and awards, even at the level of the International Chair and am sure that this will increase in the years to come.I wish you all the best and may your efforts bear much frunt in terms of producing ethical, carig and committed healtheare professionals that will serve the citizens of our country well in the years to come.
